Julian Blaxland launched the Blue Sky Premium Consignment in 2018 (mirroring the model of Elite Sales Consignment in the US) after discussion with Vin Cox and many trips to the US Broodmare Sales of Fasig Tipton & Keeneland. The draft is made up of only the best race fillies and mares off the track in Australasia in an independent consignment.
By 2020, the consignment was the leading consigner of Race Fillies & Mares in Australia – topping the aggregate at the Magic Millions National Sale.
In 2021, the consignment was again the leading Australian Consigner of Race Fillies & Mares at auction, grossing over $8,300,000 at the Magic Millions National Sale. In both 2020, and 2021 – the draft has sold the Magic Millions National Sale topper (UNFORGOTTON $2.75M in 2020) & (MELODY BELLE (NZ) $2.6M in 2021). In 2022 the Blue Sky Premium Consignment sold FOREVER YOU (IRE) for $1.35m and in 2023 - KAPRALOVA (IRE) for $1m, continuing a rare feat in selling a million dollar lot 4 years in a row.
