Invincible Trial Performance

Impressive Melbourne Cup-week debutant Invincible Star will be out to prove that her Group 3 success was no fluke at the Magic Millions in January after tuning up for the 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast with a stunning Wyong trial on Wednesday.

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained filly blitzed the field in an 845m trial in fine conditions on the NSW central coast, on what was a Good 4 track.

The daughter of I Am Invincible clocked a finishing time of 48.94 seconds, running up the last 600m in 32.78.

On debut in the Group 3 Ottawa Stakes, Invincible Star was on the right side of the straight that day and cashed in - winning by two-and-a-quarter lengths with Joao Moreira in the saddle, clocking a 34.26s last 600m.

Tim Clark has been pencilled in for the ride on January 14, in the $2million sprint over 1200m.

Adam Hyeronimus was on board for the 5.5-length rout in the trial, with unraced Snitzel colt Perast back in second.

Purchased by Julian Blaxland's Blue Sky Bloodstock and Gai Waterhouse for $200,00 from the draft of Yarraman Park Stud, the duo will be back in action in 2017 at the sale.
